Acne Myths
There are many popular beliefs and myths about acne. In many cases, these beliefs about the causes of acne, can be justified, although this does not mean that they are applicable to all people equally. Each person is different and so is your body. What one person may cause the appearance of acne in another will have no effect.
Then we met some of the myths and beliefs known to be able to meet them and know how true are.
Fried food and chocolate cause pimples. This is true to some extent. Foods high in fat can cause acne to some people but not others. Everything depends on the body and skin of each.
The sun
helps reduce acne. The sun's rays are not good for acne or skin in general. What may happen is that a tan may mask acne better, but it will not make it disappear. Furthermore, when taking certain medications for acne or are following a specific treatment should avoid the sun in most cases because it favors the appearance of stains.
The makeup causes acne. As with greasy food, this varies from person to person and type of skin. While some women may affect the use of greasy makeup, other women need not affect them. In any case, you can use non-comedogenic make-or water-based. This type of makeup does not generate the appearance of acne even on oily skin or prone to suffer from acne.
Popping pimples will make them disappear. This is absolutely false. If they break the grains is likely to generate pus to spread the emergence of more grains. Moreover, exploiting the grains helps them to be infected and can result in scarring . If you already have pimples and these are important, you should leave this task to experts, dermatologists and physicians. They know how to remove without causing an infection or scars appear.
Only teenagers have acne. This belief is false. The teenagers are more likely to suffer from acne due to hormonal changes that occur in your body during this stage of his life. However, this does not mean that people of any age can suffer from acne.
Acne appears to have dirty skin. This belief is also false. In fact, rub the skin too hard with certain soaps may irritate the skin and worsen a case of acne. Acne appears from internal causes such as hormonal changes that cause increased oil production from sebaceous glands. Dirty skin can worsen the picture by making the grains become infected. That does not mean that people who have acne, they have not washed their faces as they should.
