Wound healing through gel derived platelets
A platelet-derived gel would be very effective for wound healing, not only would a shorter time, but also in better quality than with conventional methods.
The study was conducted by U.S. researchers and consisted of taking blood samples from eight healthy patients over 21 years, then they made 5 wounds from 4 mm to 3 cm from the thighs. They were then applied to one side the autologous platelet gel, and the other antibiotic ointment or bandages. (more...)
