Smoking and psoriasis
They have found that smoking may increase by up to 78% risk of developing psoriasis; it appears that smoking would be associated with an increased risk of developing gout, while reducing the risk abandonment.
The study was conducted at Harvard University in Boston (USA) and Vancouver General Hospital (Canada), participated in the 116,608 women between 25 and 42 years were followed for 14 years. Exposure was measured in pack-years smoking (20 cigarettes daily for one year). (more...)
