Wrinkle treatment for localized
Botulinum toxin, blepharoplasty and laser liposculpture
To xina toxin type A
Botulinum toxin, the deadly toxin found in uncooked foods is also a powerful muscle relaxant, and tiny amounts of a purified form (botulinum toxin type A) are being injected into wrinkles to relax the surrounding muscles.
Lines may benefit forehead and frown, crow's feet, drooping eyelids, lines around the nose and the area between the upper lip and nose. It is also useful for treating involuntary muscle movements that can occur after a facelift
The injections must be repeated every few months as the effects are lost. The treatment decreases the ability to frown and may cause the corners of the mouth decay. When used in areas around the eyes, produces a rounded appearance, so patients should
be aware of this before undertaking the procedure.
The drug does not cross the blood-brain barrier and, to date, the only side effects are temporary muscle weakness near the injection site.
Despite some reports that botulinum toxin type A can reduce headaches and migraines, the botulinum toxin type A also causes headaches in about 1 percent of cases. In some cases, headaches can be very severe and long lasting (from eight days to one month).
Eye Procedures
Blepharoplasty
Blepharoplasty is the primary surgical procedure to improve the appearance of the eye area. The results usually last between five and ten years.
Although simple, it has potential complications such as permanent difficulty closing their eyes or making faces.
New techniques, however, are preventing this complication. Laser surgery is now preferred to traditional surgery, reduces bleeding and bruising, and the operation and recovery is faster.
Blepharoplasty transconjunctival
This procedure removes fat as innovative through the membrane lining the eyelids (conjunctiva) and is an effective technique to treat upper and lower eyelids. This procedure does not cause scars on the nose area.
In patients who have scarring from previous surgeries, transconjunctival removal of fat can also improve existing scars. Side effects and long-term efficacy of this procedure have not been studied.
Treatments for neck
Laser and liposculpture surgery
These procedures may be an alternative to facelifts. The procedure requires only a one-inch incision under the chin to remove excess fat.
After the fat is removed, the surgeon tightens the platysma (also called platysma), the thin sheet of muscle beneath the skin of the neck, which improves the shape. Local anesthesia is used and the patient can return to normal activities within two days. The patient's skin should be elastic enough to be worked in this way without giving the platysma.
